How popular is cosplay where you live? do you find that it has been done for years or is it just beginning to take off where you are?

in Indonesia cosplay contest start at 2004. only less than 30 cosplayer that attend on that fest

and it vacum until July 2005.
since 2007 there are so many cosplay event at my country. I can said EVERY MONTH we have cosplay con. lol

This march there was 4 cosplay con. and 3 of them happen in same day. lol but every con has cosplayer more than 30 (the con that I follow last 23 march has 156 cosplayer) lol

Its good how something can start off quite small in a country at first and in a short time it expands and more people get involved, i bet you are very pleased to see it grow in popularity in Indonesia.

yes.. thats why I start to collect Indonesian Cosplayer Data. I hope the quantity increasing everyu day
Amazing thing is now many children (age between 4-7) also cosplay. CUTE ne? wehehehe

Yeah it will be good for you to keep track of it and see how it grows and expands, i think its cool if they are cosplaying young as well, so they can get good at it and experienced, great fun for the children.

Hello Mitchie, welcome to the forum im in the UK and cosplay seems quite popular here i like how cosplay has spread to so many countries, i would like to see it become more popular in the UK and more popular everywhere i guess

Uk has so many great place to photoshoot cosplay. Where usually in UK cosplay con held? I mean on mall or any place?

I saw that you uploaded your own photos at the gallery, im really pleased that you did.

I think cosplay is pretty popular in the US. I went to Anime Central 2008, which (if I remember correctly) is the biggest anime convention in the Midwest. There were TONS of people there. It was really cool.
